In 2001, during an acoustic guitar workshop with Jacques Stotzem, Sebastian Banger (who organized the workshop) handed over a VHS tape and said 'Do you know him? You have to watch this'.
Back home I played the viddeo and was blown away by an acoustic guitar player I never heard of before. He came from Australia and did some mind blowing things on stage. How could I never have heard about him?
Then, the next year (2002), he was invited for the Acoustic Strings festival in Raalte, The Netherlands. Since he was a huge success and attracted a lot of visitors he was invited for the next couple of years. And slowly gaining more popularity.
If you ever get a chance to see and hear Tommy Emmanuel play, then go for it!!
The following years I presented Tommy Emmanuel to many of our friends and family, even went to concerts with them. And they were all amazed!
